About Us

SRI GURU CHRISTHA SHARAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (SGCIS) is an innovative and state of the school located in the nature’s den of Devarahalli, Birur Chikkamagaluru Dist. SGCIS was founded by Vandya Guru Joe Lobo Swamiji, inspired by the quote:

“Light a candle than to curse the darkness” – Eleanor Roosevelt.

Our passion is to form meaningful relationships between students in order to nurture positive members of society– children who are aware that they are loved, and will continue to spread positive attitudes in all stages of life. It is expected that students at SGCIS will thrive beyond the classroom, and will continue to apply good morals and character for the rest of their lives.

The first school from Vandya Guru (Sri Christa Sharan Ashram), was “Christ The King” in Jog Falls, Prema Jyothi (1974) in Kadur, ‘Guru Christa Sharan Vidyalaya’ (2004) in Birur, and now SGCIS in Devarahalli.

SGCIS strongly believes that education is the foundation of any successful leader, be it in the classroom, at home, or on the playground. Our approach towards Science, Technology, and Mathematics (STEM), the Arts, Social Sciences and Human Rights, as well as fluency in English remains unmatched.

Sri Christa Sharan International School’s priority is rooted in learning elementary life skills, which is proven to translate into other aspects of life. Our extensive plant-life and lush surrounding landscape creates a hands-on learning atmosphere, which encourages environmental education and conservation. We hold an emphasis on discipline and proper behavior, as well as positive attitudes towards learning.

Creating empowered and excellent leaders for a healthy nation.

To provide each student with a diverse education that brings out their hidden potential, promotes self-discipline, creates a sense of shared responsibility towards society, and develop global consciousness and excellence in learning.

Shine Like a Star, Sky is the Limit.
